UI / front-end developer

ISO for a extremely talented front-end web developer to join a highly specialized team. Must have god-like skills in CSS and JavaScript, and be thoroughly fluent in YUI CSS, OOCSS, Template Toolkit and jQuery. (Experience with other CSS frameworks, Javascript plugins or templating/programming languages a plus). We're currently using YUI JS and YUI CSS, but are moving towards jQuery and OOCSS.

The right candidate with have the honor and the fun of working with some of the best and brightest developers around. The project is fun and engaging, with plenty of room for the right person to get their ideas not only heard, but implemented.

In this highly rewarding position, you'll be responsible for handling virtually all front-end development for a local search site with millions of users. That means (but is not limited to): building out new pages, implementing new graphics, bug fixing (the programmer's equivalent of cleaning out your sock drawer, but hey, we all have to do it at some point), UI experience crafting, and much more. Basically, you'll be our lead-developer-of-all-things-UI.

We're a small shop, but we get things done quickly and efficiently. (If you like long meetings and detailed outlines before you start and other handholding, this is probably not the position for you.)

Things-we-use-that-we'll-like-you-more-if-you-use,-too: OS X, Linux, git, perl, TWiki/Basecamp, Lighthouse/Bugzilla.

We're expanding internationally (currently we have sites in the US and Canada), so experience with branding/white-label/internationalization, etc. will be handy, too.

Our office is in Burbank, CA and we'll need to work with you in the office regularly so telecommuters-in-bathrobes need not apply.
